Facer App
-
Hi everyone, in these days of stop for Covid, I had some time to devote instead of sport to our Suunto7. I want to offer you this app: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.jeremysteckling.facerrel&hl=it
This is Facer, an app that allows you to load every type of dial on our watch. The app must first be downloaded to the phone (it exists in both iOS and Android versions). To initialize the app, you must choose, of course, a WearOS type watch, and then scan a QRCode that will appear on the watch. I have explored this possibility aware that these faces do not have control over energy saving, but I already use the “NO Wake on” function, so I have not noticed a greater consumption of battery, indeed it seems the same as other faces. The peculiarity of this app is not only to load dials from an infinite database, divided by type, but also, once registered for free, to create your own faces. A major flaw, to date, of our S7 is to have all the sensors to be able to monitor altitude, heart rate, etc. but not being able to see them on the dial, or rather not all of them simultaneously. I therefore created a new dial where, in addition to the time and date (day-month-date), you will find the weather forecast with temperature, moon phase, altitude, wind (strength and direction), pedometer, heart rate and battery percentage (icon + percentage ). for those wishing to try I turn the link of my creation:

nice idea, though I don’d know if this kind of advertisement is regarded as spam here.
Just tried it - when tapping to send this MIO watch face from my iPhone it confirms “sent”, but the watch shows no result.
(yes, I scanned the QR code) -

(yes, I scanned the QR code)If it is a spam the moderators will change the post. I don’t think I violated the rules by publishing the link of an official app from the Google store. Regarding sending the face to the watch, if you have installed the app on both the phone and the watch, you must change the dial by adding Facer (you can also do it from the Wear OS app on your phone) and then wait for the update on the watch. A long press on the dial allows access to the Facer settings from which you can choose the “Mio” dial

@luca760101 considering that you’re a real user, because you participated already in discussions,I believe you’re no spammer
Also, I believe there are other users posting links to apps they think are usuleful, so everything seems fine with this.

@luca760101 yeah, I selected Facer as the current face.
I have three defaults to select from.
When in the phone app selecting and sending a new one nothing changes -
Try to restart S7

Facer is not great for wear os. There are some amazing watches on the app, but due to the watch faces having to run through the app, it does tend to cause lag and battery drain. Lag is generally there due to going through the facer app, while drain seems to be much more watch face related.

After a few months of using Facer, I can tell you that for the delay you are right (I have a lot of data on my dial including the steps, the heartbeat, the high rudeness, the temperature, the humidity, percentage of the battery as well as, of course, time and date). But for the consumption I have to contradict you: despite the absence of a lot of data on the dial, the battery consumption is aligned with that of the Suunto original dials, that is 2 days in smartwatch mode with bluetooth and wifi always active. The battery drop, now I think we have clarified it, and when the watch uses GPS, that is, in sports activities with Suunto App. (We talked about the maximum autonomy of 5h in sports such as ski mountaineering or trail running)
