Saving exercise....
-
I remember someone on the forum had similar issues, but maybe it was with one of the Spartans and not S9.
-
I have seen this issue a couple of times and have tried to get data to be solved.
I would assume you have OH1 or Tickr ?
As a quick perhaps workarround use the feeling screen for that sport mode.
-
@isazi I didn’t find it at the beginning, but i found it now…
12 sec reboot solved the problem, the exercise is lost…
-
and do you have a custom sport mode ?
-
@nseslija Had exact same issue and still have it any time WHOOP 3.0 strap is used for heart rate. Sometimes saving takes upward of 3-5 minutes. Once the watch crashed.
Also get this screen (not sure what’s there to sync since watch had been connected to a sensor at all times and displayed valid HR throughout the exercise, with no drops):
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos if you ask about external sensors only HR strap, H10… and yes custom sport mode…
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I have cadence and speed sensor on another bike, another sport mode…
-
@NickK I’ve seen that screen… but as you sad for couple of minutes…

Sadly, it doesn’t. After a little while, the problem starts again. At least, that’s been the case with WHOOP 3.0 HR broadcast and H10, which S9 seems to hate in particular. It would show it as connected on the activity start screen, then the heart rate would freeze during actual activity. You can literally see a flatline in HR graph screen if you add it to your sports mode.
-
@NickK This last for two hours… so I had to reboot the watch… sadly the exercise is lost… I think that i have H10 for almost a year now, and this never happend before…
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I enabled feeling screen on all my custom sport modes now, I hope that will help…
-
@nseslija My H10 started glitching after WHOOP connectivity issues and that strange “syncing HR” screen. The weird thing is: first couple of workouts with WHOOP are fine, then this screen pops up on a third or fourth workout, then “saving” starts taking progressively longer, and then all sorts of HR weirdness starts happening. Rebooting the watch helps, but only temporarily. As does removing pairing and pairing another sensor. But the only thing I found that fixes it for good is a complete firmware flash.
It’s as if something was being corrupted.
And H10… I don’t know. I did a comparison 8 mile run, S7 vs S9/H10 about a month ago. Three quarters into the run, H10 started behaving weirdly. The HR would freeze, then it simply dropped to 60-70 closer to the end when I was pushing 150-160 during strides (by the feel and S7 OHR). When I synced it to the app, most of the HR in the last quarter was like 60-70. So, the values displayed by S9 during run… Not sure where they were coming from or went.
-
@NickK I had all kind of problems with Suunto smart sensor, with H10 none… so far
-
@nseslija Good to know S9 is at least consistent
-
Great news if Suunto add HR synch with 3 party hr belt…
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Some news?
-
I have this issue with SSWHRBaro occassionally. It just gets stuck like this. If I reboot (holding button) it goes back to normal and activity is fully synced so no data is lost. It happens really rarely though and only for longer activities. I use OH1 sensor.
-
Hi can you guide and help me here.
Is it a specific activity type ?
Does the watch disconnected ffrom the belt for this to happen ?
Something else ?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos hi, it is cycling custom sport mode, everything was normal during the exercise,
I think is not related to HR strap…only my opinion… -
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Multiple activity types (martial arts, crossfit, indoor bike) for the extra long saving issue and this weird “hr sync” screen. Running for strange drops in H10 that otherwise seems to be fine (battery is reported as full, the strap is relatively new, about 12-14 months and not used heavily). One thing that’s the same among others – all sports mode in question were custom.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos it just happened to me when I finished 8k run (not long activity, just 43min, non-customised sport mode - Run Basic) on my SSWHRBaro. After couple of minutes of watching “Saving…” I restarted the device holding a button. After reboot no data is lost and everything is in sync.
