Suunto 7 sync issue
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I am using android
-
@Gareth-Stockdale and you still have issues?
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I am still missing that 10 mile run from Sunday. However after a factory reset and sync to phone, my last couple of runs have synced near instantaneously.
-
@Gareth-Stockdale factory reset would have wiped all data , so sorry for that.
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos yeah understood, but it was yellow for > 24 hours before that. I guess it’s not sat in the cloud. I have some data on Google fit, can I upload that to suunto app or just Strava?
-
@Gareth-Stockdale You can use SyncMyTracks to pull data from Google Fit into Strava or Movescount. The latter would throw it over the fence to Suunto assuming you have MC and the accounts are linked. You can also push into Sports Tracker, the original backend for Suunto app.

@NickK I just loaded up laptop (windows 10 pro) but suunto 7 now is not recognised by suuntolink app. Tried all the troubleshooting tips it offers. Any idea?
I have tried USB and Bluetooth. I note that even though laptop says it is connected, I end up with two Suunto 7 2782 connections, one paired and one connected. However on my watch it says disconnected. When I click connect, it stays disconnected. But laptop says connected.
-
@Gareth-Stockdale ignore that, just remembered watch does not connect with those. However as movescount is synced to suunto app, if I can upload to that, it should all appear.
-
@Gareth-Stockdale looks like sports tracker cannot send back to movescount. Will put up with that run being lost on suunto, but have something on Strava
-
@Gareth-Stockdale There’s a sync from Movescount to Suunto (if you connected the two) but not in the opposite direction. If you still need to have things in MC, I recommend a third party app like PhoneGap or SyncMyTracks.
