Suunto 7: Import activity summary from Suunto cloud

It appears that a diary on Suunto 7 and overview tiles based on it only display activities captured on the watch, and not what’s currently in the Suunto cloud that backs up the app. For example, I had a 5 mile run yesterday, Monday, using S9 only, but that run isn’t reflected in the overview on Suunto 7.

Not to point any fingers, but both Garmin and Polar sync stuff across all connected devices. Sure, they have to do it for various physio-related features to work, but I think it would be nice if overview screens incorporated up to date data from Suunto cloud. After all, S7 is a daily driver type of device. Something I’d be looking at throughout a day potentially planning what to do on my S9

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Not S7 related but if you factory reset the Spartan line reconnecting to your account means that none of the week’s training/steps/sleep is ported back over to the watch as far as I remember too. The only thing that pushes back over is routes if you have them ticked.

@The_77 Yes, I wanted to mention Spartan and S9 and company, but decided to leave it out for two reasons. First, they are sports watches proper, not necessarily a daily wear like S7 (something I alluded to). And I feel it would be much more complicated to add this import on them than S7. But we can dream!

I think it’s only possible while creating a new thread. I can’t add tags to my thread or I don’t know how.

You are right! Just tried creating a new thread and there you go. Tags bar is staring you right in the face if you know to read the fine print. I supposed adding them on edit may require permissions. Or maybe it’s not possible. @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos is on the case.

But at least, I know where to look next time I post.
