This only needs to be done in SA app. All phone level Bluetooth pairing stays unchanged.
This was my next question, on the watch level i don’t need to do anything and beside S7 the other watch can be S9 or Ambit3, i guess it does not matter.
Also, i will probably start on working on my own app for stryd because i don’t think that the official one will come so soonI would pay for it!
-
@Brad_Olwin Me too, gladly
I have sent my log files from that Stryd third party app to developer who made it, he said he will look into it, if that goes well great, if not i will try to make something…
Ultra simple… get data… apply calibration factor… find a way for data to appear in SA, that is it.
If ever do made it, it will definetly be free.
The only problem is time and the fact that baby is coming in the next couple of days -
@vlado Welcome to the club of Baby’s sleepless.
About the app. I have my hopes about Suunto Plus and an app with:
- Power (3s,10s)
- last lap power
- running effectiveness ( (meters per secon/ watios per kg))
- average power
I don’t know how much time until
Suunto Plus is with apps BUT with the S7 it could be done right know. -
@vlado welcome to the sleepless zone. Perhaps the only time that sleep tracking doesn’t work.
May all go fine with the baby.

Thanks for welcoming to the danger zone

@NickK what would be better workaround, the one with connect/disconnect in SA or to keep S7 in SA and Ambit3 in Movescount app?
-
The S7 just works! I enjoy every workout and the daily usage.
Today 3 hours mountain biking (path).
S7: 44,48 km - 741 m ascent - 744 m descent - battery usage 27 %
A3PS: 44,41 km - 744 m ascent - 747 m descent - forgot to check battery level at the start️
-
@pilleus I really like my S7 but it would be much better with Android…that will not happen, I am totally Apple. However, I am not an Apple Watch fan for workouts, it is too much hassle to view zones, do intervals, etc. S7 is my weekday watch and S9 my weekend watch. Going to try to get the S7 to last a 55k race in a couple of weeks.
-
@Brad_Olwin I’m iOS too. But a friend is using a Pixel 3 and he doesn’t stop to telling me how good is Android and his Pixel and with the S7 works better than with iOS. But I have very strange friends

@Bulkan smartfriend

@jorgefd78 Second that. Nothing against iOS, but if you are dropping $499 on an everyday watch, sell ypur iPhone and get a Pixel 3 or OnePlus and enjoy your Suunto 7 to the fullest

Ummm @NickK and @jorgefd78 agree…
-
@Bulkan @NickK i could try s7 with iOS and Android and yes. The experience is much better in Android than iOS. No connectivity issues. I feel system and apps faster and even the sensation that the watch battery last more
-
A review should be made after testing with the correct systems. Android phone and WearOS watch.
Everything else is a joke.

Then I will not have integration with all of my Apple Music, HomePods, AppleTV, iPad and MacBook Pro. Not willing to just change out the phone and be locked out of the ecosystem I am using. I would drop the $ on this watch as an iOS user because the sports and maps implementation are far superior to the AW4 and the battery is as good.
-
@Brad_Olwin correct. If you are an apple boy (I switch to Android 1 month ago but not due tu s7) it doesn’t worth it to switch all the ecosystem only for a watch

Yes and no. I agree this is the feeling users here are expressing, but if the S7 is also marketed to be iOS compatible it is one of the important scenarios to test too.

Google Easter egg
Connect a head phone, ear buds or bluetooth speaker with your S7 and have fun with the drum sequencer!
