I think this will help Suunto. They have been losing the market share because others have pay from the wrist, music on your watch, and other smartwatch features. Unless you to an activity longer than a marathon or 100 mile bike ride you have more than enough battery life. Most donāt wear their watches to bed so just put it on the charger like you do your phone every night. I preordered mine and I am excited that Suunto finally added the extra features. I was actually disappointed in the 9 with bad OHR and no music on the wrist. I like to run without my phone and canāt wait to try out the 7. JMO

@fejker Nokia 3310 seems to be a decent comparision and example - as long as you donāt have / need any features, your battery will last really long.
So you changed your mind and now you would use a Timex just to see the minutes and hours, the distance will be estimated as usual ā¦ approx 20 years ago?

Anyone want to trade a Suunto 7 for a 9 Baro Titanium? The more I read about the 7 the more I think it will fit my needs better than the 9. Original owner, perfect condition, non smoker

If you only need all of this, a Huawei Watch GT 2 might be enough - at a third of the price!

The spec is sweet indeed. Less than 11mm thick, 1.4" screen, less than 50g weight, 5ATM water-proofingā¦
Thereās a reason itās so cheaper though:
- Didnāt they go with their custom OS on GT2? While the watch has gotten a great battery life as a result, the app situation must be even more pathetic than Wear OS
- S7 links to Suunto app and on, to infinity and beyond
- Only two buttons?
- With US being after Huawei, all bets are off. They will remain in business, sureā¦ But their exposure to consumer segment in Western countries might nosedive, not to mention the watch is useless without a companion app. And if Google can pull Android from under Huawei, whoās to say they wonāt remove Huawei apps from the stores?

I did another test today , with the RID software and Airplane mode on (no connection to wifi/BT)
Screen on and all others on.

I think above you see that in 80m I only checked the watch 33 times.
Currently the S7 has the screen on but the data are not updating in realtime. It will later. If that is the case, then the tilt to wake wont be needed saving some extra juice from what I understand (or not but at least should be at the same level)

@NickK yes correct. I typically get this value (with music controlls / BT on) (I listen a lot to music) around 6.6h - 9h. today I tested Airplane mode on.

To mention: I didnāt fiddle with maps etc. So this was used like a normal running watch lets say. No yadi yada etc. I wanted somehow to see how it would last if I just did what I do on the s9

Also I am eager to see the low powe realtime view on the maps. If you have seen Google maps how it does it, turns the screen black and writes āoldā style with B&W and little details.
Iād love to see that. Honestry I am not a colorās person so much, even if they fascinate others.
