Strava Relative Effort on Suunto 5
-
I just upgraded my Suunto 5 with Release 2.10.18 and read the notes about Strava Relative Effort.
If I understand correctly, if I want to have the same Relative Effort value in the Suunto App and in Strava, do I have to enter the same heart rate zones in both places? Does this mean that if for an activity (running or cycling) I have entered specific values, the calculation will not be the same in Suunto App and in Strava unless I also change the values in Strava? Why does not Strava synchronize the Relative Effort calculated by my Sunnto 5, such as the average HR or calories? -
@brnfox The calculations for relative effort or calories are based off of HR zones, which if different will change relative effort. In addition, Strava eliminates what the app thinks are pauses so in my experience the two relative efforts (watch and Strava) are close but never identical.
And secondly, yes, Strava does not have different HR values for cycling and running so this will be an issue.
