Pros/Cons of Suunto 9 BARO * ONLY * be fair and polite!

@tomahawk5000 Honestly, no. Major work with S9 it’s done. Some of hope with Suunto Plus fade away day after day.
For S7, some developing will occur, yes.
And then new models.

@tomahawk5000 Yes

Our watch is 2 years old and still we have error with some notifications which not disappear after red or on phone. It’s a little funny and sad don’t you think that? I don’t have Garmin’s watches but I think we are far behind Garmin’s if we look at application on phone and desktop. Is Suunto so small company and they have not enough resources?

that’s a very good point. I decide for the best product basically, but if possible, I try to support locals. I earn local and I spend local… unless the difference is ridiculous

Europeans Asians or Americans all have to work hard. Suunto should work harder than now. Especially if we are talking about they quite old and still one of the best product

I said all I can say…

@Brad_Olwin happy to hear that it will be. Thank you for hint

Thanks for the ‘hint’ Brad, happy to hear that there’s something in the pipeline for the S9B
FWIW, I had a COROS Apex for about 4 months. It is a good watch, the battery life is it’s main drawcard but aside from that I can’t knock it too much. Big difference in build quality between the S9B Vs the COROS, the COROS felt very plasticky and cheap. If you sat it alongside a $100 beginners watch you would struggle to tell which one was which. The other minor downside is that because the COROS is made in China the app is also the same. Some of the translations aren’t great and it just has a slightly unfinished feel to it. A big negative for me was that you can’t customise the workouts as you can in the SA, you’re stuck with what you are given.
Soooo… I ended up coming back to the S9B once again and with this insight I have to say I’m pretty happy. The small things that could/should be improved hopefully will in time, but I really do believe as a top-end high performance GPS watch the S9B is as good as it gets. If Suunto can find any way to improve the battery life so it’s more on par with COROS then that would be the icing on the cake! -
@MiniForklift
thanks for your reminders… I sometimes forget how well developed the Suunto products are! I see room for improvements here and there but basically, these are simply great watches!!! -
Did you know how turn off our watches on latest fw? I tried but it’s turned off and then automatically watch on

Turn off the watch ? Suunto’s watches can’t be turned off .
Seriously, they can’t be turned off, not even my ambit vertical could.
How do you tried to turn it off? Maybe you were doing soft resets?? -
He he I thought that upper bottom can turn off watch
-
@tomahawk5000
Long press (12s) upper button is for soft reset. -
@cosmecosta
Ambit can be turned off. There is an option into the service menu. -
@Mi_chael Yes, it could but I remember that was very difficult to find and if I recall well it was not in the manual, could be? I had to send my vertical back and I had to check everywhere how to turn it off.
Anyway, Spartans and S can’t be turned off.
