Spartan/Suunto app activity not syncing to Strava correctly (rowing > riding)

I set my exercise activity to Rowing on my Spartan, and it’s showing up as rowing in the Suunto app on my phone, but when syncing with Strava it appears as Riding. Any suggestions?

Just checked with iOS app. (S9) and it’s correct in Strava. Do you use Android app?

@Maryn I use Android 9 (Pixel 3)

This has happened each time I’ve logged an activity (just got the Spartan, so only have 4 rowing sessions so far), but have had to edit each session in Strava. Only other details I can think to add are that each session is over an hour.

Dimitrios how did you check Android?
Any ideas/suggestions?

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos yes suunto app syncs with watch to get data. strava is “connected” app to Suunto App. I don’t see a way to “sync” strava manually, it’s just a connected service under user profile>connect to other services (the only other service connected btw) SA 4.2.4

going out rowing again today, will update this post with results after session

went out today using a custom activity profile and it worked fine. strange. will try the standard profile again tomorrow and see what happens. indoor rowing (erging) also transferred to strava fine as indoor rowing.
