SA sync with Suunto 9 Baro and sport mode customization
-
Today I tryed record one crossfit session. I added, from the SA, this sport mode to use during the activity. Synchronization was ways perfect.
When I synced my watch to the SA I checked the moves and this last move, crossfit, shows the total time, max HR and recovery time, nothing other.1)- Where was stored all the info that I could see during the activity on my watch? For example the nice HR graphic during all the session, the average HR, estimated calories, etc?
2)- Or in the crossfit activity the watch not log any infos? Because when I added the sport mode I not saw a option to set the record interval and other parameters. Maybe is not necesary activate the GPS but yes log all the other data during this activity for analysis later.
3)- During the activity I paused the actitivy when I rested with the result around 47 minutes of real actitiy. When I synced, SA shows me duration: 57:27, that is more refered for the real total time used (activity + rest I imagine), not the activity duration (that also my watch showed 47…). Now I can´t access to this activity/move because the logbook on the watch is empty ( https://forum.suunto.com/topic/2586/s9baro-watch-is-busy )
4)- On MC I have a option to set the “sport mode settings” of each sport mode (recording interval, GPS options, etc), this option IS NOT available at SA, right?
5)- I synced my Sports Modes with SA, now I can´t sync anymore with MC, right?
Any help are welcome! Thanks a lot!

@flypg regarding #4, I don’t think Suunto 9 actually supports synchronizing those settings from either Movescount or Suunto App. Setting GPS mode or recording interval in Movescount does nothing and you have to configure those settings directly on the watch. The same applies to some other settings like HR zones.

@silentvoyager Thanks, but the last time that I did this from MC worked perfectly (GPS Recording Interval).

OK, I’ve just tested that. You are right Movescount creates a custom power profile with settings selected in Movescount in addition to the three standard battery modes. Not all settings are included though. For example barometer mode isn’t included. However the same can easily be done directly on watch by selecting Ultra power profile or selecting a custom profile and changing your settings there. That’s probably the reason it isn’t a high priority to support that in SA.
