Suunto 9 baro, gpx, more than 1000points possible?

I can’t answer the limit but the 9 easily uploads a 2778 point file (200km). 80’000 points is one massive file - if my maths is correct on the same ratio as I have above that is a near 6000km event!

That is what is used to simplify. 80.000 is too much for 120Km afaik

@ofriend2000 I have uploaded 200km routes into my S9 for a 200k race with no issues. Does it matter how many points there are? What we need are waypoints recognized when imported into SA.

Out of curiosity, what’s the length for a 80k points track ?

@ofriend2000 i have not seen anyone get lost from the simplification. You can split the trips to parts of the route as of per day. If you trek i dong think you will cover 80km per day.

@sartoric e.g. I have 1 gpx file with cca 78.000 nodes, and it is cca 93km. However I am able to simplify to cca 3.500-2.000 nodes, without loosing details important to me…
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Well, the question was - how many nodes (points) per gpx file can Suunto 9 handle? -
@ofriend2000 said in Suunto 9 baro, gpx, more than 1000points possible?:
But the website always trim the gpx to only 1000 points, which makes the gpx file less accurate
I have just tried to import .gpx file to Movescount website with 3.500 nodes, and there was no problem. Then I downloaded it to the watch Ambit 3 Peak (via synchronization) and there was no problem either. However I do not know, if there was any simplification, when synchrozing with the watch. In Movescount website I still see original file with 3.500 nodes…
