VO2max is zero???
-
Hi!
I have Suunto 9 watch and Suunto App. I noticed that there is now estimated VO2max tab and I can see my exercises under it. My estimated level is zero and has not shifted in weeks. Is this a bug?br, Ahti

@Ahti-Kalervo There should be no VO2max tab

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Yes I read the other forum posts… I am very disappointed. You buy a watch that you think is the premium model, but then you discover that it does not have at all the same features than Suunto 3 Fitness. The product line is very confusing. Why doesn’t S9 have this feature?
-
@Ahti-Kalervo that is a good question to be honest.
I suppose because S9 was never launched with this feature (nor is in the specs) and that is for progress oriented athletes.
Also, some first beat licensing comes to play.I agree, that S9 should have the VO2max at least post exercise in the summary.
S3F has also other Firstbeat features (check the screens) but those perhaps can be scoped to that product.
However, as said above, regardless the S3F screens, personal comment is that I DO WANT v02max on my S9 even if the app only does that (not the watch).
That said, my workarround for this is to sync with Runanalyze and get that value from there.

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos
I’m just wondering if valencell software doesn’t provide it. That’s something that can be measured by their sensor afair -
@sartoric I think Valencel can provide RR so why not right?

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos said in VO2max is zero???:

Yep.
From their faqWe currently offer the following metrics:
Continuous heart rate
Heart rate recovery
Resting heart rate
Heart rate zone
R-R Interval
Heart rate variability
Cardiac efficiency
VO2 caloric burn rate, and total calories
VO2 max (aerobic fitness)
Pace and distance
Step rate (cadence) and total steps
Cycling cadence
Raw accelerometer dataMaybe some of these are not available for OHR sensor, but … Who knows

@sartoric
Just for the sake of conversation … this is what I saw reading their whitepapersas I’m a Nerd I would really love to have access to the sensor’s raw dataflow

I used SF3 for 2 weeks, than switched to S9 (September 2018), and I still have VO2Max in SA. It just shows 0 all the time. I would also like to see all data that sensor collects.
