I purchased the Suunto 3 Fitness watch two weeks ago and my watch constantly says I’m “stressed” with low reserves. This is even after a full nights sleep, being in vacation and no strenuous activity. Any suggestions? Am I really that stressed? I cerntainpy don’t feel that way!

@daviscar I understand it like this: In order to determine a state of stress, the S3F requires a prior development of resources through active training. Sleeping and relaxing does not build up resources. More on the subject can be found at Firstbeat, because the technology used by Suunto for fitness and stress based on the technology of Firstbeat. The Firstbeat procedure is licensed for Suunto watches only for the S3F. My tip: read there: Firstbeat

@Paweł-Ładna Do you wear the watch to bed for sleeping? That is the time my resources typically rebound. Other settings will affect this as well. Have you set maxHR? Have you set custom HR zones and do you know your zones? How much exercising do you do and how hard? If HR zones are incorrect, the analytics will think you are working much harder than you are.

already wrong set rest HR will effect recovery or being stressed… as rest HR is not lower most HR, but when you’re just sitting, not moving too much etc.
An easy day at the office with just reading random mails that do not really bother you is my reference for rest HR 😉

No. Your last few days of activity and mental state history applies to your recovery state.Body Battery applies to how many hours did you have with your below the rest hr rate recorded. Factors could be your training and recovery, mental state, alcohol or drugs intake, nutrition, and above all amount of rest (sleep) or lack of it.

                    Thai you all,

I took al advices and I’ve corrected my resting HR, I’ll see in next few days the effects and let you know. I’ve also restored my Hr zones to default.

                    Again, thanks for all advices!

@Brad_Olwin Yes I do, but as you mentioned - problem might be with HR rest and max. I’ve changed setting and I’ll see what I get after few days
