SuuntoPlus app stuck & no Updates shipped anymore
-
@JochenParat it’s instant in my case once the app was published before. Did you update the manifest and version and didn’t upload old version by chance?
-
@Łukasz-Szmigiel @mff73
thanks - it seems the text is updated right away but the app is still old … in the Appstore it still shows the creation date of v1.3 - even so i just bumped the manifest up v1.8, rebuild, and uploaded.
I also had the impression that updates are immediate - but now it seems apps dont propagate anymore …

@JochenParat same issue for me, for two apps. It’s been more than one week and still the old version…
If you want to be sure which version is up, you can click on the link “Sports app file” in the “SuuntoPlus Sports Apps” console. It will download the zip file of the app, and inside this zip file, you have the manifest.json (somewhere…) -
@RunWarden
Oh no … overall the process feels a bit painful and intransparent. The worts part is that it means the Suunto Owners wont get the best possible Experience, or critical Bugfixes in time

@RunWarden
I just contact with the Suunto via the Customer Support on the Website.Someone looked into the file and escalated the issue. Sounded as if it was a bug on the Backend / Deplay process. Service Contact said, the issue will be resolved with the next update - but no Timeline when thats gonna happen.
Besides that I got the following info / reason from the Service:
"If updates submitted to the SuuntoPlus Store are not published, this is usually due to one of the following reasons in the SuuntoPlus developer pipeline:
By changing the deployment target to the API zone, the build is placed in a dedicated staging/sandbox environment instead of being published directly to the public store. Staging builds remain limited to developer test accounts and require manual approval before they are transferred to the live production feed.
Secondly, the automatic rollout queue for app updates may pause if the build validation script detects a discrepancy in the version string, missing manifest fields, or faulty dependencies to the current firmware API versions.
Thirdly, the Production Store Sync Engine could have encountered a cached publishing lock for your app ID, which prevents automatic push deployments after a version submission."

@JochenParat thanks for the update.
The result is: there is an issue + there are cases where the build is not published but nobody can say why. -
@RunWarden Same issue with my app “SunMaxxi Pacer” no updates since 15th July ( 0.52 ), tried uploading 0.60 & 0.62 since ( the last one was a version increase to try and let the system know there’s a new version. Downloading from the API zone gives me the latest version but nothing on the user side as far as I can see on the app store.
I have mentioned to Support.
