Morning folks. I’ve just come from Garmin Fenix 7 solar but was having difficulty is seeing the screen and bought a Vertical 2 with a bright screen i can actually see when open water swimming. Chat GBT suggested a V2 but after 4 days and 2 swims, the GPS tracking is abysmal against the Fenix 7. I’ve done all the preliminary GPS setting on the V2 before getting in the water etc but to no avail. Anyone suggest anything else I can do before I bin the v2 and go back to a Garmin F8.

@John-Clamp I keep having proper open water tracks since the beginning.
Can you show a video of you swimming? It is crucial that you swim freestyle with the watch above water level every stroke.

Hi, thanks for your reply, unfortunately i dont have a video but I do wear my watch on my non breathing arm, breath right Suunto left. It may be by swapping wrists this might help but never had this problem with the Garmin. I have a general and current pace rate of approx 2.40/100m on the Garmin but the V2 jumped to approx 3.20/100m. I need the accuracy for OW swim training and racing, so it’s pretty critical that it shows the correct metric.
