Race 3S & Race 3 rumours

Btw, It seems I can count 3 mayor betas in 2026 (splitted in 15 minor announced versions only this year). It is not the same release calendar/features as for the supported watches, but the bug fixes are there (even for Garmin). It is also more than nothing.Yeah, on paper it sounds good, but essentially each version had some serious issues for some people. Always the question of “Should I really upgrade beyond version …?” in the forums.
I understand Suunto is focused in the new watches but it’s also a lot of time a watch like the Vertical is forgotten with the remaining bugs. And, when bugs, this can be a very bad image of the brand for the users that have the watch.
Reminds me on Nokia and its N9, where they pushed a final update eliminating most of the bugs (over 1000 IIRC) before pulling the (support) plug. I also feel that is the right thing to do.

Not a Race but a Run 2…at least price and weight

There’s a thread on reddit. It seems something was going to be announced today but it also happened the Fenix 9/Pro presentation.
-
@André-Faria nice! Love to see they continuing Run series. Wonder if it will have same OS as run.
-
@André-Faria 76g weight can’t be true - thats too heavy
-
I wonder which software the R3/R3S will run - 2.x.x or 3.x.x
-
@Highlands most likely 2.x

Yeah there is no way they tack on an extra 40g from the Run 1. Misprint or different watch.
-
Do we have any idea when they are going to be announced officially? Looking for a replacement of my wife’s Race S.
-
@OutdoorMan It would make sense if something is announced this week at UTMB, but I don’t know…
-
@OutdoorMan have been a few posts on Reddit that there would be some kind of announcement this week or next according to retailers that had seen the watches.
-
@GratefulDeadpan I hope the changes to the Race 2/2S are more substantial then the ones Garmin did on their Fenix 8/9 models

-
I would not wait for an announcement during the UTMB.
I don’t see the point of having a stand with the entire current range exposed to the public and making an announcement the next day.For me the Run 2 will be available in September and Race (s) 3 on October.

@OutdoorMan this is what Suunto said in their Instagram post today. Talking about “new products”
