How to disable touch screen?
-
With SA there’s no option to disabled touch display when customizing a sports mode.
So, how do i do this? Is this feature in the making for SA or is there now a different way of doing this?
Keep in mind that i only want to disable the touch display, locking won’t do because it also disabled the buttons.Thanks.

@Hugo-Palma I believe you need to do that from the watch, in the battery mode setting just before starting an activity. If you set the custom mode, you can enable/disable touch screen there.

@jean-william-cousin thanks. Will try tomorrow. But, if that’s the only way now, it sucks. Will add a post in the feature requests for adding back this ability to SÁ.

@jean-william-cousin I don’t see that option.
Scrolling down i see:-Targets
-Navigation
-Backlight
-Sensors
-Theme
-Autolap
-Autopause
-GLONASS
-Power Saving
-FeelingUnder “Power Saving” i have:
-GPS accuracy
-Low color
-Display TimeoutThat’s it. No touch screen.
I have Suunto Spartan Ultra with the latest firmware. -
@Hugo-Palma sorry I can’t help you further, I have a S9 baro and thought it was the same in Spartan Ultra
-
I thought it used to be within the power saving options but it seems it is no longer there on the Suunto Spartan, at least not on my Suunto Spartan Sport Wrist Heartrate Baro.

@Mat0311 yes, same here on Spartan Ultra. But I think i remember seeing that option.
It seems there’s no way now to disable touch screen. Surely it’s either hidden somewhere else or a bug.

I collected your feedback guys from several posts

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos Awesome, thanks. Just one more question, i guess this is a watch firmware bug so we’ll have to wait for a new firmware update to be able to disable the touch screen? Or is adding this option to SA sport modes planned?

@Hugo-Palma unfortunately
