Suunto 9 Peak Pro and Polar Verity Sense: connection dropping after start
-
Greetings,
I received a Polar Verity Sense armband in December and was able to connect and use it without trouble. Right around New Years, I started having the following problem:- I start the armband, then chose my sport in Suunto 9 Peak Pro.
- The connection to the armband is confirmed in the 9PP and I can see my pulse. I wait for the GPS connection.
- I start my sport, but I no longer see my pulse. It is just marked with “–“. After finishing my run, I have no HR data.
I have tried every kind of reset and reconnection known to man (and to Polar and Suunto), but I always get the same behavior. I have also tried both Bluetooth and AMT+ connections.
I was so frustrated, I just resorted to using my H10 chest strap, which sometimes chafes my chest. With the summer months approaching, I’d like to get the armband working. The Firmware on the Verity Sense is 3.0.15. The fw on the 9PP is whatever the lastest is.
Any one have any ideas?
Cheers!

@jmlee I have similar issues with my Vertical 1 and Polar Verity sense.
In the start exercise screen the watch finds the sensor, and everything seems okay. But when I start the exercise it loses it and i won’t reconect for the whole duration of exercise.
The only solution/workaround is to stop the exercise and start it again. Repeat that 2 - 3 times until the heart rate is visible in the exercise on the watch. Usually after that the hearth rate works for the whole duration. -
It could be an issue on Polar side, they withdrew the 3.0.15 firmware shortly after the release. https://support.polar.com//en/updates/verity-sense-firmware-version-3015-no-longer-available
