      @snow & @c-d
Thanks for the tip. I installed the 3.0.16, but it hasn’t solved the problem. I tried all manner of reconnecting and resetting the device, blue tooth connection etc., but the verity sense still behaves as described. In fact, I noticed that at point 2 (see above), I see the pulse, but it does not change. So, it must deliver an initial reading, and then the connection conks out.

I will now write to Polar support.

@jmlee As a last resort, I’d also try resetting the Verity Sense to its factory settings via FlowSync

@snow Can you install the update using the Polar Flow app via bluetooth? I downloaded it but can’t see a clear way to update my unit. Thanks in advance

@MiniForklift Hi, I’ve updated it yesterday. Please take a look at this and this.

I have a similar issue with my vertical 2. Today it buzzed me about every 3 minutes on a 10km run because it suddenly had no heart rate and then it came back. Seems like the connection was dropping constantly for a few seconds before reconnectin. But it doesn’t show up on the heart rate chart in the app so I guess suunto fills in the blanks of missing heart rate data

@snow Thanks for the tip. I tried it, but still see no improvement.
I downloaded the Polar Beat App to my phone, and it connected with the VS-Armband without any problems.

I assume that Polar is going to say it’s a Suunto issue, and that Suunto will say the opposite. The chronology of my problems points to Polar, as the Suunto P9P was updated in November and again in January. But, I was able to use the VS-Armband fine from receiving it in early December until the 3.0.15 firmware upgrade.

                Alas….

@jmlee I’m sorry it didn’t work. I’ll ask a friend if he’ll let me try it with his 9PP and let you know.

                    Hi @jmlee ,

I have experienced exactly the same as you in my Suunto 9 Peak Pro, including the pulse detection before starting the activity (although it remains constant with the first detected value). After starting the activity, the “—” appears.

                    Have you solved this issue?

                    Thanks!

I only recently had this issue after the Polar Flow app forced a firmware update on the Verity Sense. I’ve unpaired, repaired, factory reset, started and stopped runs. Nothing makes it work. The whole reason I got the Polar sensor was b/c the 9PP was wildly inaccurate (swings from 120 to 190 bpm when I knew I was in zone 2 and feeling fine). If the Verity Sense does not work with 9PP anymore, does anyone use an alternative sensor that is accurate? I’d rather not spring for a whole new watch just yet as I like literally everything else about the 9PP.

Maybe if you contact Polar with those insights they can track what changed on the firmware.

I ordered a Verity Sense to use with my Ambit 3 because my coospo hw9 did exactly the same as you explain with the ambit 3 peak (worked ok with garmin 1040, hammerhead etc), hope I can use it.
Edit: just sent an email to polar france poiting to this thread, maybe useful if those who already have the issues can contact polar and them doing something.

Edit2: if someone still has 2.2.6 or older maybe can back it up connecting to a pc and using claude code or other way

DOes anyone can confirm me if it works or not with Ambit 3? Some old threads said yes and hence why I bought it, would annoy me that it would do the same thing as the Coospo HW9 I had.
