I'm experiencing an issue with the optical heart rate (OHR) sensor on my Suunto Vertical 2

Hi everyone,
I’m experiencing an issue with the optical heart rate (OHR) sensor on my Suunto Vertical 2 after the latest firmware update 2.53.42.
The problem:
During workouts, the wrist-based heart rate sensor responds and changes values — it’s not frozen — but the readings are consistently underreported, keeping me in Zone 1 for the entire session, regardless of effort level. How I confirmed it:
I wore my Suunto 9 Baro on the other wrist simultaneously. While the Vertical 2 showed Zone 1 the whole time, the Suunto 9 Baro correctly registered Zone 2 and Zone 3 at the same intensity. The difference was significant and consistent throughout the workout.Timeline:
Everything was working perfectly until about a week ago. The issue started after updating to firmware 2.53.42. -
The OHR does not work either for me. I’m experiencing exactly this issue, with 20-30bpm higher the real ones:

In fact, my profile is very similar to the profile of that person. Trail/ultra trail runner with very low BPM while resting. I have never had this issue in Garmin.
I’m pretty happy to be here again but I wasn’t expecting this issue (again) in this new generation.

@Deniska-Rediska Have you tried a reboot? If so, I would try a hard reset. If that does not work you may have a defective watch provided no tattoos or other issues. I assume you tried both watches on both arms to test.
OHR for me with any watch from Garmin or Suunto has not been great until Race2 and V2. With this firmware they are near perfect matches to a belt as I tested wearing the watches, one with belt, one OHR and switching watches as well.
