Suunto Spark

Anyone have issues pairing a Spark with an iPhone? I have an iPhone 17 running iOS 26.5. After pairing, the Suunto App status for the Spark initially shows a green check, but after 2 seconds shows a yellow dot. When clicking on the Spark icon to configure the Spark, it will initially show the left Spark, case, then right Spark. After 2 seconds one of the Sparks gets greyed out, the case may go grey as well, but not always - It changes. When looking at button customization, the Spark that is greyed out shows a circle/exclamation mark. Says it is not connected.
I’ve tried forgetting the Spark from my phone, resetting the Spark, deleting and reinstalling the Suunto app, repairing, nothing works. Same behavior on my iPad. I contacted support who were very helpful but nothing changed. They suggested returning it. Before I do, I want to ensure I am not doing something really stupid, and/or that this is a known problem that has a fix or will have.
Appreciate any help ya’ll may have. Thanks!
I cannot speak for iOS but if you tried 2 devices, could you borrow a friend/family Android phone for a pairing test?
It’d be interesting for you to know if your Spark do connect to Android (if not, there’s definitely something bad and you should return them).Or perhaps there’s a software bug and you are the very first one, but I find strange that.

About the issues I was talking about in the previous posts. To be honest, I’m pretty disappointed with the Spark. It’s like the build/sound quality is very good but software is not good enough (overlapped audios/integration…). I think Suunto has an interesting opportunity here, but I’m not keeping them (for now).

@dreamer_ good suggestion, I don’t have access to an android device but I agree that would be ideal. I can try my wife’s iPhone running iOS 17 (I think). Appreciate the suggestion.

@dreamer_ same. Between the lack of data integration with the headphones and the watch, audio problems, and software problems, back they go.
I really don’t understand why companies invest all the time to make a product like this, and then half-arse it. Same with the fancy swimming headphones.

@Ze-Stuart it’s really a pity. I really hope they can push an update soon to improve the user experience.

Is anyone using them for work? I’d be curious to try, how is the mic quality and the connection to a MacBook?
-
@Francesco-Pagano I finally returned them. The product it is not worth (at all) with the current firmware. Software is very poor in my opinion for a product of this price .
I used the spark at work and the experience is ok but in my opinion I bought the device for sports, not for the office. And that’s the thing.
If Suunto considers to fix the issues in the Q2 update, I’ll buy them again. -
@Francesco-Pagano I got mine just two weeks ago.
Have attended some calls already. It was just normal as expected.
Have used them for running and just listening to podcasts. They have a great sound quality and they are light and comfortable. On a bike ride, it did not work too well, as the head wind ruins the sound quite a lot.

New update available (not installed yet)

@dreamer_ succesfully updated to 1.0.4.3 fw, but no release notes. Can’t tell so far what’s been updated.
