@Egika you’re right recent watches have those metrics ; not my SRs neither my SV1 (unless I missed something). So using the sparks and having those metrics in my activities would had been a plus.
But I didn’t bought the spark for that so not a big deal to me

@Egika those running metrics are far superior in something like the head than in very moving one arm. It is explained in that video. That is also a reason with PODs exist in other brands or chest straps with POD features. And pod features could also be improved in a future firmware update.

An analogy is running with an HR chest strap. It’s better than the wrist sensor and if you are running with the strap, is because you do want the metrics of the strap. It has no sense to have 2 activities in that scenario. Watch’s metrics should be avoided when running with the Spark paired (in my opinion the contrary is clearly a bug once you have both products in the same workout)

Quick question for users, the advertised battery life is a bit short for some of my activities.

I notice it gives two figures for battery usage in the marketing blurb, so is it easy to charge with the case? I.e at a food stop without power? Or does it only charge when the case is plugged in?

@Audaxjoe Not a user, but in theory, the case could charge the buds 4x.

I can’t tell which is more accurate between Running Dynamic and Suunto Spark on the watch, so I’m not confident enough to speak about it.

How are your headphones doing? I’m looking for new ones and I have a 15% discount at Suunto. It’s tempting 🙂

                • Glasses: I run a lot with glasses or sunglasses. How are they coping with your ears when you use them for hours?
                • Traffic: The upside is the downside for boneconducting. You can’t hear your music at all when at traffic. Is this better executed by the open ear of the Spark?

@Horizontal_2 just one thing. The 15% discount of the Strava challenge is not valid for the Spark, if that’s the case.

                    @dreamer_ It isn’t? Never mind then 😞

I can’t find information about that

I did not comment but I’m testing my Spark. So feedback post:

                      • Sound quality is really good.
                      • Build quality is very nice. They feel really premium.

                      Not so good things:

                      • The touch is too sensitive. I have disabled by default the “one click”
                      • Audio notifications are exactly the same as without the Spark. I knew that, but I didn’t expect the latin american spanish for Spain.
                      • Metrics are not integrated with the watch.

I think the S+ app should have two more options:

                      • An option to toggle on/off things like navigation audio indications, so users can decide if they want the navigation audio indications (which are very useful in several cases). For that, Suunto should implement the feature (which is still missing).
                      • An option to toggle on/off to use the metrics taken from the Spark’s pedometers in the main activity in the watch. I mean, to not have 2 activities in the app (watch and spark). Something similar that what happens when you are using a chest/arm strap. Only one activity with the much better bpm taken from the chest/armstrap, not two activities. Something similar happens here with the Spark, since you have 2 additional pedometers that are going to work a lot better than something that is taken from a watch that is in one moving arm.
For someone that made the effort of buying the Spark, I see this as an important software bug that should be solved. Having 2 individual activities has not sense (at all).

                      Ideally:

                      • Go further with a firmware update for using the pedometers of the spark for indoor/treadmill runs, if possible of course.
                      • Things like voice notes while on workout (if possible).

Just those little things for making the Spark a must and a perfect companion.

I’m noticing a bug in the Spark.
When there’s an autolap (I.E, when you complete a kilometer), I’m hearing the bpm feedback in latin american spanish and the autolap information in english and both audios are overlapped. You hear both at exactly the same time and in different languages.
                        This is very weird.
