[Bug] Maximum SuuntoPlus Apps Reached
-
Hi everyone and @suuntopartnerteam,
Since adding the ability to configure my SuuntoPlus App via the smartphone interface, I’ve been running into a recurring issue: the watch often refuses to select the app, showing that the maximum number of SuuntoPlus Apps has been reached—even though there is none selected yet.
This seems to happen consistently after I open the app settings, modify a parameter, and trigger a sync.
I’ve been able to reproduce the issue not only with my own app but also with the Notes app from the community. It’s become disruptive enough that I’ve temporarily removed the settings feature from my app. Once disabled, I have not been able to reproduce the issue.
Has anyone else experienced this? (seems yes: https://forum.suunto.com/topic/13946/maximum-amount-of-apps?_=1775394888693). And is Suunto aware of the issue? Any known workarounds?
Thanks in advance. My Setup: iPhone with latest version of app and Suunto Race S on the latest firmware…

I see it is also mentioned in following threads and it concerns apps which have settings…

Hi everyone!
I’m having exactly the same problem.
My app, which was released today and relies heavily on settings, doesn’t seem to be working properly. I can’t think of any other ways to get round the issue.
Does anyone have any ideas or know how to fix this? For your information, it works perfectly on the simulator, and I didn’t have the problem when pushing the app directly to the watch (although I haven’t tested it much that way).
Thanks.

Big twist! I tried pushing a package without any parameters (I filled in the parameters directly in main.js), and I’m getting exactly the same behaviour!
What on earth is going on?! Could it be the size of the package (18KB in my case)?
Is it possible to enable additional logs on the watch to find out what’s happening? -
@bhamp0 I had this once. It turned out that there was a bug in my code. Once fixed everything started working again.
The strange thing was that it seems to affect other Suunto Plus apps as well since I wasn’t able to select any app without getting the same error. -
I’ve had this before, I had one S+ app installed on my watch and it wouldn’t let me add any others. Can’t remember what I did but I currently have 3 on my watch so it seems to have somehow righted itself
