@Pierre-0 Yes i have to admit this watch is top quality among other watches i could have in hands.
It’s sad that they don’t allow to replace a battery, as they would like us to buy another one.

Sad too here they don’t do battery replacements for 9PP.
To me it has the perfect form factor and battery usage through mips and all other models are no replacement for me up to now.

Hope you will get it fixed and can share the details with us.

Mine is still fine an lasts about a week with daily activitiy and 24/7 hr monitoring.

@Ecki-D. Today morning I asked Suunto official repair center in Prague, CZ to quote a battery replacement for 9PP. I have received this reply:

**It is not always a defect in the battery, first a diagnosis is performed for 500 CZK/device and then we will inform you. In the case of repair, the diagnosis is not charged.

A replacement would cost 1590 CZK. When delivering to us, it is necessary to specify, for example on a piece of paper, how long the device will last - some specific loss of % of the battery. Address see www.hsh.cz Service time approx. 2.5 weeks

Payment is only after the service, we will send payment details.**

So It should be no problem to get it replaced for up to 70€ + shipping costs.
That is a fair approach imh.

@Milan-Šádek @ecki-d. good luck with that. My wife owned a 9PP and it’s now an unusable piece of metal (or whatever it is). I have sent the watch 3x for battery check / replacement and it was replaced each time, however it didn’t help at all. The issue started after some SW update and we ended up buying a new watch (Race S).

@Milan-Šádek very good to know that. And the price seems ok compared to the watch value.
We will see how long Suunto will provide the service for this model.

@Milan-Šádek Hi, my watch can be charged at night, and stay idle up to the morning, it passes from 100% to 75% staying idle on a table.

Another Garmin watch with a brand new battery stood 100% to 100% in the morning.

Wouln’t it be a way to downgrade the software with the old version ?

@OutdoorMan @new_jack I don’t actually have the 9PP myself, but I did some digging for you. I had a great experience with HSH last year—they replaced my SV with a brand-new unit just days before my two-year warranty expired. I did buy a 9PP for my son last Christmas, and so far, so good; owever, the battery life has decreased with the latest firmware. I suspect it might be a general software bug, as my SV is having the same problem.

                    @Milan-Šádek Well i can do a test.

By disconneting a battery connector out of the pcb, and reconnect a brand new battery i own, and compare how it goes for one night.
Actually spending one night staying idle on a table consumes -25% of the battery.

So i will test for one night tomorrow, and i will post results here.

@New_Jack My 9PP was charged yesterday evening and with 24/7 HR it fell from 100% down to 90%. This is more than average which was about 7% during the night. The 3% more may come from the enabled discovery mode in bluetooth

@Ecki-D. But to me, this is definitely a used battery issue, as if i switch on the watch for running, it will turn off instant. 😞
