Bike speed pod calibration issue since 2.50.26
-
I have a Suunto Race and since version 2.50.26, I have noticed that the calibration for bike speed pods is incorrect. I have verified this several times. I ride different bikes and use a speedometer on each bike and have a bike speed pod for the watch on each bike. Before version 2.50.26, the distance traveled on the speedometer matched the distance traveled on the Suunto Race. Since 2.50.26, there has been a noticeable deviation. I tested with three different bikes with three different speedometers and three different Bluetooth bike speed pods and always the same Suunto Race. What I haven’t tested is with a different Suunto watch.
Here are my tests:
Bike 1:
Speedometer VDO M3.1 WL: Calibration 2174 mm
Bike speed pod GPACS-BLESC01A: Calibration 2174 mm
Both sensors are triggered by the same magnet in the wheel.Distance covered by speedometer: 18.46 km
Distance covered by Suunto Race: 18 km
Deviation factor: 1.026Bike 2:
Speedometer VDO X3DW: Calibration 2174 mm
Bike speed pod Sunding 515: Calibration 2174 mm
Both sensors are triggered by the same magnet in the wheel.Distance covered by speedometer: 10.03 km
Distance covered by Suunto Race: 9.78 km
Deviation factor: 1.026Bike 3:
Sigma BC 14.0 WL speedometer: calibration 2055 mm
Magene S3+ bike speed pod: calibration 2055 mm
Both sensors are on the same wheel; the Magene does not require a spoke magnet.Distance covered according to speedometer: 10.00 km
Distance covered Suunto Race: 9.75 km
Deviation factor: 1.026
