Suunto 2.50.26 – Q4 2025 Release Notes

@maszop Si mais j’aimerai décider comme sous Garmin quand la montre estime ou non le VO2max. Par exemple ne pas estimer le VO2max en trail.

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen Didn’t have this on the Vertical 2. What watch do you have?
As mentioned, it is the Race.
I did have corrupted ghost sensors prior to this new update. Earlier, these could only be removed by a hard reset.
I wonder if the new firmware during installation detects ghost sensors and then forces a hard reset?! Just speculation! Of course, it is annoying with a hard reset but not the end of the world

Great update, thanks! Just one question. I tried the integrated interval creation with the default Running (Basic) profile and just sitting at the desk and doing nothing it measures distance and speed, without moving and having a GPS fix. Is this expected behaviour? I setup 4 intervals with 400m / 250m recovery as a test and after some 20+ seconds I see that there is distance accumulation and speed displayed on the watch. Tried 3 times and same behaviour. Afterward tested to start a Trail running activity just to see what happens and distance and speed == 0.

update installed smoothly with 0 issue on both my SV, SRs and on my wife’s S9pp
Unfortunatly, rep counter and 5 sec bip countdown to next step have note been implemented into S9pp. I start to doubt il will come someday.
-
No problems on my SV Ti as well, HR zones stayed as before installation

visibility of paths and trails from the 500m view.
Visibility of roads and paths at 500 metres on my Swedish map depend on their width, of course. But on the view of this photo the paths leading out from the crossroad mark I’ve made are no more than 1.5 to 2 metres. In fact they are so insignificant and fallow that the default Garmin map on a FR955 only show a sea of green (i.e. no paths):

This is on a Suunto Race S, by the way, with this latest Firmware.
Edit: To see the ca 0.5 metres width paths I have to go down to a 200 metres view, however…

Now that is a big update! I hope all of it works, can’t wait to test out some features!
-
@Inge-Nallsson wow can’t wait to check update on my trails
-
@Dušan-Ković «Up to 3 SuuntoPlus apps running simultaneously during an activity». Il faut redémarrer la montre pour que ce soit pris en compte.
-
Update installed without issues on my SVTi, SRS and on SR2Ti.
-
installed on my Race without any apparent issues, customized sport modes are still there!
Many thanks to the dev teams for this huge update! -
Managed to pair two power meters (Rotor INPOWER, Favero Assioma), haven’t actualy tried them because I am ill right now but:
-
After pairing, the sensors appear to be selectable only on “Indoor cycling” sport mode, on “Cycling” mode none of them appears
-
Both power meters can also transmit cadence but only “Power” is listed on “SERVICES” menu
As I said, I haven’t actually tried to train, only paired.
Any feedback on this @Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos?
-
-
Just checked by starting an indoor cycling session that although cadence is not selectable from “SERVICES”, it’s transmitted so ok there (EDIT: at least for the Favero PM).
Also wanted to mention that crank length is not to be selected anywhere (though can be selected through Favero’s app and Rotor is a crank PM so not applicable there).
-
@mlakis I can use my stages with outdoor. Does it find it so it can be enabled ? It needs to get ze icon
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos, right now both PMs are set-up with the watch and both of them appear when I select the “Indoor cycling” mode. Even when none of them are in reach or turned on I can see them in the “Exercise Options”/“Sensor data”. It says “Not connected” but when I go into the options they both appear. Also the “Calibrate power” is shown in the outer-most menu.
But for “Cycling” sport mode none of the above is true, no “Calibrate power” nor the sensors are shown on “Exercise Options”/“Sensor data”.
Will try to delete the “Cycling” sport mode and come back.
-
-
Ok, re-creating the custom sport mode did the trick, maybe old one was using the “Basic” cycling mode and not the “Power” one (a thing that also just figured out it existed!)
-
Well, wellcome Q4!
Things aren’t looking bad. I’ll be installing it soon.

-
I have no more words about Suunto “updates” which are again and again are downgrades. Every update.
WHY YOU REMOVED STRUCTURED WORKOUTS FOR SWIMMING?!
https://youtube.com/shorts/VTe5iRaRVaI?si=qryD9z33yu7k5805
Every update you only downgrade watches for swimmers! What swimmers did to you? Why are you doing this with us?!
I haven’t even tested watches in the water yet…pretty sure old bugs are not fixed and new came…

-
Thanks for update!
I have a weird issue though on SV1 Ti.
The screen brightness wouldn’t go off during time. The screen keeps to be illuminated and a watch doesn’t go to sleep mode. The soft reset didn’t help.
“Stand by” illumination is off.
I tried to set pass code to force a watch to go to sleep mode but it didn’t help. I did one more soft reset and I was asked to enter pass code but a watch kept illuminating a screen.
Something is off here.
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos have you seem somewhat similar while testing?
