Suunto 2.50.26 – Q4 2025 Release Notes
-
it seems to me that there are no more warnings about (fake) “Map downloading” while charging the watches
-
Hi guys,
Since the update I can’t use Interval Training during my workout (running)
Before I was able to define them in the App and use them from the SuuntoPlus menu. Now on the watch in SuuntoPlus I only see App I have download like Race Nutrition, live pacer or ghost runner)
Any one with similar issue on the Suunto Race?
-
@herlas Yeah. It was a mistake on my part thinking it landed in this firmware release. Here’s to hoping we see it soon!

yes, and if you read this thread before posting, you will find the discussion (and workaround) for this issue

Doesn’t it seem that with the new firmware, before starting any activity, heart rate detection is much slower than before?
With 24/7 heart rate monitoring active, it takes me about 15 seconds for the heart rate indicator to turn green, and I swear it used to be almost instantaneous.

-
@Egika I apologize if this question is inappropriate, but do you have any information on whether Suunto is working on this issue?
-
@Marcus001 Absolutely this! That would be fantastic
-
@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I don’t know if this has been already mentioned but Strava Live Segments guide is not available when using a custom sport profile. It seems to be available only when using one of the built-in sports.
This seems like a serious bug. Do any of the field testers use Strava Live Segments?

Same for me. All guides, and yes, including Strava Segments.
I mentioned it in a previous post. -

I just tested this at the desk. It took about 2s for the heart to turn green…
-
@Egika Exactly, that’s how long it used to take. Now, for me, it’s taking much longer.

-
@enriqueescoms Tested this two times. First time it was instant, second time it was 4 s.
Have you tried a soft reset?
-
@Egika @Horizontal_2 Well, what seems clear is that it’s not a hardware problem, but rather an issue with the (new ?) firmware.
I downgraded, and heart rate detection before starting any activity is now immediate again.
I updated again, and heart rate detection has become very slow again (about 15 seconds).
P.S.: Along the way, as always, I lost my custom sport modes.

-
@enriqueescoms or an issue with other factors, as me and other users don’t need to wait this long with the latest FW…
-
@Egika As @enriqueescoms I have noticed something similar. I use a Coros HRM armband most of the times (when I want to use Zonesense I use Suunto’s Smart belt). The thing is that the Coros HRM do not have a switch so, it turns on with the contact of the skin or when a device connects to it but in the first case if you put it on but and after a while it is not connected to a device it swithces off to save battery.
With the previous firmwares when the watch looked for sensors it turned on the sensor and connected to it and everything very fast, with the version 2.50.26 it turns the sensor on but does not connect to it, the watch says that the Coros sensor is found but doesn’t connect to it, the watch OHR is working instead and the HR symbol in the watch is without the straps, so I need to go back in the screen and enter again to the sport mode to use the external HR. Moreover with the previous firmaware the sensor connection was 1/2 seconds and now is 4/5 seconds.
I will disconnect and recconect the sensors again to see if it helps.

This is realted to MIP watches and one thing that I have noticed in my SVTS.
I have noticed that my watch turns the screen light turning the wirst during the activity
At first I thought it was a bug, so I did a soft reset but it still works and it’s quite clever as it only works at dark hours (I have tested it with running and trail running custom sport modes). It is not listed as an improvement or new feature. Can any tester confirm this? Can someone explain what it triggers it?If it is a bug DO NOT SOLVE IT, at max add the option to turn it on and off.
-
@cosme.costa hi! This has been there as far as I can remember. But the light is to low especially now during winter in Sweden.
I have set light to turn on with guester mode on but it is to low for using outside on sunny day in the forest where it is shadows. Even if I set it to high it only turn on verry low? I do not understand his. The only way to see is to hit a button but then it turns to another page.
This behaviour is when I have an activity on. -
@helgonet12 No, the wirst light ONLY in activity wasn’t there for sure, was removed in the last firmware of the S9B. I’ve been requesting it for for some time now: light with wirst movement only in activity . Around 60% or more of my yearly running/trail running is done in the dark with a headlamp, so have pretty clear how it worked till now.
What you could/can do with previouses firmwares is that you activate the light with wirst movement always, in and out of the activity, there wasn’t any difference. -
@cosme.costa Are you saying you have raise to wake turned OFF in general settings, but it activates during activities? Is this all the time, or only after sunset, or only when it’s dark (as detected by light sensor)?
I just tested and my SV1 does not do this, although I am with you and would like to see this as an option.
-
@cosme.costa Ok, maybe i remember it wrong. anyhow the raise to wake is something I also would like to work better than it does now. It should be possible to set the light intensity for sportmodes only as well. regardless of if it is turned of or not under general setings
