Software Update 2.48.16 (2025 November Rain release)
-
@surfboomerang It doesn’t happen with all watchfaces. Try the K14 marine compass, Summit Seeker or Concentric analog…
-
got the same. looking good on my race 2
-
New improved morning report is missing Fell asleep and Wake up time? Why?

-
After the update, when I set the watch to do not disturb and lock the buttons, the display lights up every time I move my hand🫣 The previous firmware worked correctly. It put the watch to sleep and the display only lit up when I pressed the button on the watch. Now I didn’t even sleep properly, the watch lit up like a Christmas tree🤨

@Josaiplu
my race 2 works good. battery 10% lost in 1 Day incl 1h run gps… and sleep tracking. ist ok ? -
Suunto’s changelog N years later:
“Battery drain problem fixed”Still draining, though
-
@false users posts after any FW update:
- Battery drain
-
The new sleep report is nice, but when I rewatch it from the menu it’s still the old style (sleep phases )

@Dimitrios-Kanellopoulos I don’t want to start a new debate, but there have been several updates promising to fix this issue, and it seems that for most users on this forum nothing changed. If Suunto keeps releasing updates that seem to address mostly this major problem, and nothing changes, it’s a very big problem in terms of credibility.
I know it’s too early to judge; I’m waiting for my watch to discharge. So far the battery consumption has been…confusing. -
@thailon My morning report had that information this morning.
-
Lots of upset people here, and not that I was missing an updated morning report, but I’ll just say this:
Thanks for keeping 9 Peak Pro in the loop. So far the best update yet, and by that I mean nothing that was already working is broken. Yay!
-
Race S user here
- sleep tracking and morning report were ok the day of the update. Now second day, I got the report but no sleep tracking…
- the watch keeps going in safe state while charging and keeps resetting itself.
-
Updated yesterday my Race, very happy that for the first time my customized sport modes weren’t deleted(!), let’s see if the battery drain is reduced as announced.
-
Tradition must be kept

Just waiting for “fixed battery drain” in the next one
-
Isn’t a full cycle of discharge/charge needed to have proper battery calibration ?
-
@Tieutieu yep still recommended from what I’ve read in this thread, I however already have a battery consumption that match specification (5-6% day, 1% during sleep and 1-2%/h of during gps activity with AOD and performance mode) without doing the full cycle, let’s hope affected user will go back to normal after such cycle
If it is linked to BT sensors maybe ensuring that the BT sensors are off could help with battery drain (if still happen) -
@inkognito Yup: reproduced on SV1 with Concentric Analog.
-
@false I ll try to make sure that even if there is no drain the line is added
-
Sadly first night, no sleep summary. Today wake up and my Race 2 registered my sleep as a nap… so still I was not able to see new one. I hope today I will finally see it.
-
On my side, the battery issue seems to be resolved: I have used 6% in 25 hours.
