Automatic Tagging
-
Hi everybody,
Is there an option to assign a tag for a specific activity by default? For instance, to have a commute tag assigned to all Ebike activities and a shoe tag to all running activities?
Cheers!

@Alonzo There is none at the moment.
And you’re like the 30th person to raise your voice here (myself included) for a Tagging system overhaul, so, maybe, one day, Suunto might actually do something about it

@Elipsus okay, so it’s not that I did not find an option - it just does not exist… Implementing user-defined ‘auto’ tagging will definitelly simplify our tracking

@Alonzo for commuting there is a self-tagging option in the settings. It should tag all runs, walks and rides longer than 500m as commuting. Will this work for you?
As fas as orther tags are concerned, you must assign them manually for each workout individually.
One hint from my side - the tags cannot be deleted as of now so think twice before creating them. -
@Milan-Šádek Thanks for the reply. Commute auto-tagging works only if I start and finish my biking in specific locations. Since I basically do all comutes with Ebike, I’d like to have an option of automated tagging for a specific type of activity.
Actually ti would be great to have a similar concept for any tagging: like if run outdoors, then Tag=shoesX. this will make an app use much friendlier.
An option to change ‘shoesX’ tag should however exist in the app… -
@Alonzo hi, unfortunately not possible here as other say however if you are a Strava user (even free) you could use activity fix to achieve this, hope it helps while we wait for better tags management in the suunto appp
