Hello, i would like to ask if anyone else have problem with wrong elavation gain in activities like running, hiking and climbing. Few days ago i was in holiday with my fiancee, he also owns 9 peak pro watch and in same activities We had different data about elavation gain. My elavation was about 800-1000m higher than his (and his was the right one). Thx

@Veronika-Donáthová Do you go by barometer or GPS? There is a setting in the app, probably either one of you have it set up differently.

@Veronika-Donáthová I’d suggest trying to clean the barometer holes. You could let the watch soak in lukewarm water for about 15 minutes, then perhaps use a soft toothbrush or let water run gently over the area. The key is to be very gentle and not insert anything deep inside!

Also, if you could post the elevation chart, it might give us a clue – are there any obvious spikes, for instance?

S9 (non-baro): died after 2 months, replaced, holding strong since 03/20
Spartan Trainer: casing broke after 23 months, repaired, lost watertightness 5 months later, died
Despite some pretty bad luck, I still love Suunto!

@cheetah694 That setting should relate to the Suunto app only (for when you record an activity with the app, not your watch) and shouldn’t matter for exercises recorded with a watch. The watch uses the barometer all the time and constantly uses the FusedAlti algorithm to automatically calibrate it with GPS.
