I just completed a 5-day bike trip and noticed that the Suunto Race map screen would occasionally show only a black background with white grid, as if the maps for the area weren’t downloaded. Yet I had downloaded maps for the entire state. Sometimes, the map screen would redraw correctly after a moment, other times it would not and just stayed black.

Has anyone else seen this bug?

      I have firmware version 2.44.46.

@MRC01 This happens sometimes on my Suunto Vertical. Perhaps the electronics are too weak to handle the map display smoothly?

@nseslija Thanks for the tip. Sadly, it looks like this problem has been around for at least 6 months. It’s been a long time since my watch was last rebooted or soft rest, so I’ll try that.
