Polar H10 syncing HR message
-
Few days ago, I did some workout and immediately after clicking save activity I detached the sensor from strap. My Race got stuck at “syncing HR data”. So I put the sensor back on strap and then the watch saved the activity. Because of that, I was wondering, if the watch can read HR data from internal H10 memory. But I read somewhere here, that this work only with Suunto strap which is what I thought. But why the watch stuck while saving activity if I disconnect the H10 from strap, if it’s not reading the internal memory? Must be some bug. Also why odd syncing HR data message, if the watch doesn’t sync anything?? Since that, I’m waiting with disconnecting the sensor till the end of activity saving process. Does anybody has similar experience?

The Polar website says it has memory for one session:
-
@larrybbaker Yes, I know that. But Race shouldn’t be able to read that memory.
Or something has changed and it’s supported now. -
@Jan-Suchánek hey my H9 also says that after cycling activities, which is doubly weird because it doesn’t have an internal memory. Go figure.

This doesn’t necessarily have to do with the actual memory. It could also just be the buffer used by BLE, perhaps a few seconds. It’s also to remember that the recovery heart rate measurement starts immediately after the activity ends.

@Yves_ What? Suunto Race records recovery HR after training? Is it visible somewhere?
-
@Jan-Suchánek No? Sorry, I thought all current Suunto watches do that. So, I don’t know
-
@Yves_ I was normally asking. I don’t know about this feature. Maybe it runs on background. I used this with Garmin, but that was clearly visible - timeout after finishing the workout and the HR drop value stored in activity.
