Software Update 2.44.46 (2025 Q3)
-
@Ze-Stuart a missed opportunity
-
@far-blue Thank you so much for catching that. Nothing is worse than going out after an update and your first run/cycle with new software be totally off by the wrong zones. It can so so defeating.
This update seems like it was major surgery. The having to set it up like a new watch and no real memory of anything that came before is a bit much. I wish there were a bit more warning.
Using a Suunto in 2025 is a very unique experience.

@kriskus I totally agree. The Spanish speaking community is all over these updates and I think there is one in French. Having said that the English speaking world like Desfit, DC Rainmaker and GP Lama are pretty deep in the Garmin world unless there is a new watch that comes out. I have to imagine the juice is not worth the squeeze for them with the amount of work for the views it would get, but still there is little or no English speaking release descriptions out there. Some like Befinisher will do dubbed versions, but not the quick release videos.

same here. it looks like the watch was updated to latest version at 3am and from that time, all sleep data completely missing. i was even forced to pair watch with phone again (and phone was needed to be restarted as well :D)
i was like blah, no this garmin sh*t again, but now its ok. i can live with that … for nowat least, i wasnt the only one

@2b2bff I’ve just tested it & it’s great,
Set it up as Tieutieu explains & you’ll get the 3 ZS zones in the outer ring that change from green/yellow/red as you move through the zones & a little arrow showing where in each zone you are (which can be ignored as only the zone really matters as per all the ZS gumpf)
Just bear in mind that it will be blank for the first 10 mins whilst ZS sorts itself out (mine was actually blank for about 12 mins).

Software update 2.44.46 installed in watch. I tried to download a new offline map but the app is still aking to connect the watch to a charger. What am I doing wrong? App version is 6.0.2 (Android).

Ok, I am puzzled… I can now pair several sensors of the same kind, which is cool. But I can no longer select the kind of sensor I want to pair…
Prior to this update I had connected my Fazua Ride 60 E-Bike as a power sensor and got power and cadence from it.
After this update the same sensor is automatically detected as a speed sensor that provides speed, cadence and distance. It feels like I lost the freedom of what I want to measure.
Additionally, the possibility to configure already paired sensors is gone. Clicking on a connected sensor now provides battery, which is cool. But there are no options any longer. Like switching Auto calibration off for stryd.

@Mattg576 I’m not sure in what way that has been a reply to what I was saying?
-
@email2massimo in settings on the watch within navigation you can trigger the map download without connecting the watch to a charger. And if you start the download by charging the watch, the watch will keep downloading as you lift it from the charger…
-
@email2massimo I had it the same. Just clicked download on desired map and after that I confirmed the warning on watch, that I really want to download map.
-
@borgelkranz now that multiple sensors can be paired, improvements in selecting what to get from the sensors should come.
-
@isazi Also the option for wheel circumference Is missing for speed sensors. How does it work now? Only automatic calculating after some distance?
-
@isazi ah ok. Switching on my incremental mindset, priming myself for continuous delivery…
-
Wow i dont know but now we can coose winter map in the watch directly!!! Is this new?

@GiPFELKiND said in Software Update 2.44.46 (2025 Q3):
Is this new?
No, that was introduced in 2.43.8/12
-
@borgelkranz I am assuming that since it’s a STRYD sensor turning off AutoCal. is no longer necessary and it defaults to off already. Hope that’s right …
-
@Hannu-Liljemark FYI for all Stryd users out there that have Suunto Race, Race S and for when it comes to Vertical and S9PP, with yesterday’s update there’s is no longer user choice to how you want to pair Stryd, footpod or powermeter as we used to have, for now it’ll be taken as footpath only. Just FYI and as it’s been said on this thread, choosing what you get out of the sensor will be next in a future update.

@pavel.samokha today, while swimming, I met a very specific problem with a new firmware.
It is not a bug! But annoying
With new firmware every time the heart rate monitor is connected, the watches are vibrating.
For swimming I use Polar Verity Sense HR sensor. But there is a known problem in the water - HR sensor loose connection when hands/hr sensor under water and connects again, when above water. This is not new, just physics laws.
And now the problem: In older firmwares watches didn’t vibrate when HR sensors is reconnected to the watches during the training. Now they do. So they are vibrating now every 1-3 strokes, when Polar Verity Sense is again connect to the watches.
The solution is to turn on “Don’t disturb” mode, but in this case all other vibrations and sounds during training also dissappear.
Is it possible to make an option to turn off the notification when the HR sensor is connected again? Or to make the vibration functionality in relation to HR sensor connection as it used to be?
-
@Александр-Даниленко And how was your overall swim experience after the update? Any improvements?

@mabe2k saw interval counter in the video, and tried it today, but unfortunately there were no numbers for the intervals
Does this have to be activated manually?
