@Frederick-Rochette I have no further information. Maybe this week already, maybe next.

Race here. Factory reset, no custom sports…
Hope that will be possible to be saved in the app in the future, it’s annoying to make the custom sports again and again😀

It seems that just the Race is affected with factory reset, not Race S. At least what I read in this thread (I have blocked some spammers and rude users).

@Gunnar I for example had no issues, using a Race Titanium, only HR and resource data got wiped, everything else was ok. Would be interesting to know why some watches are affected and some not.

I think the earliest is next week. (Just a guess.)
The watch’s reset issues, which were encountered in previous FW updates, are being reported for Suunto Races.
If a more stable version is released, we can wait, no problem.
I was already predicting the end of the month 🙂

I wonder now that I re-paired my Race with my next gen Stryd, where is that auto-calibration toggle? I used to turn it off. Can’t find the setting - maybe it’s now off by default?

@Frederick-Rochette @isazi Again just a guess - but it actually looks like there are issues with the new firmware and the MIP watches. Maybe some of the new features aren’t displayed correctly on them?

@Likarnik I’m not sure as I haven’t yet had a chance to test this.

My assumption is that the watch is failing to actually write the crank length to the power meter pedals (at least I hope this is what is happening). If that is the case then you should be able to configure the correct crank length using the Favero app without the watch overwriting the configuration with a wrong value.

I guess some real-life testing is needed to figure out if we now have a problem or not

@Mads-Hintz-Madsen btw, how much is difference betwen 170mm and 172.5mm in W? Is it significant?

definitely, I made screenshots of the different displays of each customized activity, so that with the help of the splitted screen option in Android is easier to recreate

@SailingP yes, saw it in the other thread. So my post is obsolete. Sorry for your experience with this update.

The difference depends on your actual crank length. You can use the following equation:

Measured Power=True Power × Configured Crank Length / Actual Crank Length

My actual crank length is 172.5mm. If the power meter is configured to 170mm, the measured power will be underestimated by approx 1.5%.

So not really significant in this example.

Edit: Corrected the equation (swapped configured and actual crank length in the equation)

@brechtvb I don’t think this is a bug, this is the old sensor architecture: the difference with this firmware is that we can have multiple sensors saved.

Has the open-water swimming issue been resolved

My Race updated automatically last night, and I went for a open water swim in the morning. There are no weird side jumps that occasionally happened before, and overall the recorded track now looks much more precise. It turns out that before the update, the watch was adding about 50-70 meters per kilometer. Now my calculated speed is a bit slower, but I’m OK with that 😁

Looks like the bug fix was really well done, thank you, Suunto team!

Great Update. Multiple Sensor Support works Great. And i will Test Climb guidance 2 in the Future. Installation was Good. And no restart. Only my Training Zones (hr, power, Tempo) where wrong.
