Race S, yesterday watch froze after I tried to resume the activity. Restart helped, but it never happened until now.

Today, my Race crashed again mid activity… 😢
This seems to be an unsolvable task for Suunto developers…

Working in programming myself, this is so devastating to me. The current generation of developers has either “lost it” or gets pushed by management to skip proper coding techniques and tests.

The bare minimum I expect is that they read the logs and find the problem and fix it.

@Olaf-Gottschalk might you have a hardware fault? My Race v1 is on its way to the service center. It crashed randomly in and out of exercise, showing error codes in the debug menu.

No, I doubt it. Never seen anything like that. The crashes I experience most likely are pure software faults.
No error codes - never, anywhere.
If Suunto wanted to replace my unit, that would be fine for me but they never did. And I am not willing to be their guinea pig, so there must be evidence that points towards hardware issues.

Are you saying that you have already sent the watch to customer service requesting a replacement/check due to the faults and that they refused to do so?

@Olaf-Gottschalk It might be software it might be hardware, that impacts software crash, but I think what this forum trying to tell you, that having crashes like that so often is not really normal and nobody else gets that. So you should contact Suunto and get it replaced or fixed. (Of course if you already tried that and was denied, I understand your frustration)
