I am seeing the same issue on my Pixel 9A, the battery optimization toggle keeps getting flipped.
My suspicion is that the Suunto apple is toggling it incorrectly. I think it has control to do is, as I remember giving it the permission.

I reported this issue to Suunto support, and after a couple of replies (and no resolution), they stopped responding.
I’ll take this opportunity to make a couple of observations (already mentioned in another thread): the GPS tracking is truly terrible, often completely off-track, and even with improbable cuts. Six months after purchasing it, they still haven’t managed to fix this bug, but they haven’t even managed to make other watch faces available. Another small thing they could (should) have fixed is the ability to lower the minimum screen timeout to 5 seconds instead of 10… what’s the point of having the display on for ten seconds after checking the time? So, do I regret the purchase? Quite a bit. If I had to do it again, I’d definitely get the Garmin 165.

Nothing terrible so far, quite the contrary…

believe me, before I had a “normal” Huawei Fit 3 and the comparison is simply merciless

On my side, I keep seeing good results even in difficult conditions. A few days ago, my son ran with me and we both recorded almost identical tracks (slightly better on his V2 though). On the other hand, if the problem were severe, I think we would be reading several complaints about it.

take a look at this post: for me this is not acceptable for a €250 sports watch (even if it is an entry level one): I repeat, my old Amazfit Neo is clearly superior in terms of GPS tracking quality

After about eight months of use, I’ve decided to sell the watch. Aside from the GPS flaws (the lack of accuracy, even on dual bands, is a bit of a disappointment), I’ve also noticed inaccurate sleep readings (it tells me I’m in bed from, say, 9:30 PM to 6:00 AM when I was actually sitting on the couch until 11:00 PM), the excessive sensitivity of the touchscreen during the shower (the number of times I’ve started a session under water is countless), and, finally, the extremely poor management of the watch faces, which haven’t been there for months. The overall impression is that this watch is treated a bit like the last resort, and for €249, that’s not a good thing for me at all.

@ShinJCD interesting.
I am loving the Run more and more each day.
When I got it, I was kind of hesitant because of the different UI to other Suunto watches.
Now some things of this have changed plus I got used to others.
Also the options to adjust the activity settings have increased and the watch shines with features other models don’t have:
Music stored in the watch
custom pictures as watch face background
built in Ghost runner, metronome function and voice announcements
It is light weight and since I disabled raise to wake and notifications, the battery seems to last forever.
