Eon Core in 2025?
-
Hi, I am thinking to add a Suunto dive computer to my Race S so that I have all the data from my sports in one place. Too of my Zoops broke in the past, but I just hope the quality improved…
The Ocean would be an all in one solution, but its to heavy for running and doesn’t support Trimix for diving (not that I use Trimix, but maybe I will…)
The D5 is nice, but its battery lifetime is a joke at best and the RGBM algorithm is dying.
So I thought about EON Core. Some question to the owners:- I read that the Buhlmann algorithm came with an update. Is it now possible to choose between RGBM2 and Buhlmann (with gradient) per dive?
- How to Sync with the Suunto App? Directly with bluetooth or just with Suuntolink (Windows PC)?
- How are the logs in the app? Can you track weight, tank size, location and so on? I currently use the Mares/SSI App with a Mares Smart Air and its not too bad
-
@VoiGAS After some internet crawling I think I can answer the first two questions by myself:
- Seems to work that way. Wow, I think the EONs are then the only dive computers with the ability to switch between RGBM and Buhlmann. Very useful if you want to adapt to your buddies computer. Nice!!!
- Looks like it syncs the way the Running watches are syncing. Nice 2!
The 3rd topic with the data in the logbook would still be very interesting. I tried with a manual scuba activity, but there is just location, startdate/-time an TSS to set 🫤

@VoiGAS Its a little bit boring just talking to myself - but maybe one day someone will also be interested in this topic. In this case: I found the answer to my last question via a public sportstracker profile https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.sports-tracker.com/workout/sandralindlahr/67270db5fbab5122c53f3867&ved=2ahUKEwiey6rxkNGNAxU6gf0HHY9bA0IQFnoECCMQAQ&usg=AOvVaw3pQAZJCLElRukujMRaNQFp
Looks nice, especially the depth vs gas consumption graph. Its from an Ocean, but I think the Eon will provide the same data. Thank you Sandra for making this public! -
@VoiGAS I’ve got no interest in diving & don’t even know what an Eon Core is but I still read your posts mate

-
@VoiGAS Yo there did you end up purchasing an Eon Core & how is it treating you ?
Dive safe. -
@NO-DECO No, I keep the old Mares Smart Air as it integrates well with the SSI app and I read that the is no number of dives in the Suunto app.
Maybe this is fixed already? -
@VoiGAS Good to hear it. Enjoy.

@NO-DECO Here you have a list of all the info given in the app https://forum.suunto.com/topic/15127/suunto-app-questions-for-diving

@estragio Looks interesting, but still no dive counter
