Mid-activity crash on SR
-
I just had mid-run crash with SR. It just stopped recording and went back to main screen. I just restarted the run. After the run I sent logs to Suunto. I can also provide links to exercises if needed.
This is literally first time that happened to me in 7-8 years of using Suunto watches

I had it too with SR with last stable FW (before this last beta). It only happened once. Also sent the logs immediately. Don’t know what caused it. It was Mountainbiking activity, I’ve been using customized sportsmode and Burner Suunto plus app. I can’t remember if I’ve been using the navigation, probably not, just the breadcrumb.
Hopefully, it was just a one-time glitch. But maybe it’s worth investigating by Suunto…

I had a crash on Sunday too, but I didn’t send logs to Suunto. Literaly the firsr time since I have a watch. It happened during hike activity, and that part of track was recorded and saved to watch and app. It also happened before latest beta.

@Prenj @Stanislav-Damjanov I am on the latest release FW, not on beta. I didn’t do anything never touched the watch. Just glanced on the watch and saw watch face, not activity. I hope they figure it out. Activity until the crash was saved, I just started it again, lost 200-300m of running

@Dušan-Ković Exactly the same, I was on latest stable release, and just saw the watchface instead of map screen that was on before. Watch recorded everything and saved, but just stopped when I wasn’t looking. After that I just started a new recording. It was a long hike that day and in the end I forgot to send logs to Suunto. It was first time it happened to me, bit it is really frustrating to lose complate activity

@Stanislav-Damjanov It happens to me from time to time. Map view, long hike. Interestingly, much more often in areas where maps were updated (contour lines and other updates).
Maybe this explains the lack of map updates because current watches probably are not able to handle even slightly more advanced maps. What country/region was your hike in? -
@maszop For me it happened after half an hour of hike, in Serbia. Never had that problem before and I usually hike in that region often, and I was on the same track few times before without any issue. I’ve had hikes of 10 hours long and never had a crash so I don’t think that region or duration of recording is thr problem. I wouldn’t even mention this one craeh here if I didn’t saw that other people had same problem recently.
P. S. I had 4 more activities recorded after the crash without any problems
