BUGS: notifications stay forever until dismissed and display doesn't go off for minutes

I experience two bugs while wearing my new Suunto Race for a 100km race yesterday.

A number of times notifications about waypoints and climbs remaining on for a long time until I manually dismissed them.
Also, display didn’t want to go off for minutes at a time, but later in the race the normal short display timeout resumed.

This made me worried because I thought the battery would run down.

I was using route navigation with multiple waypoints on it for the aid stations. I suspect what possibly triggered this issue is that there was a race course correction in the last moment. I think, for the watch it looked like the route got reversed. Not 100% sure about that but it certainly lost the route around that time and then regained it on what I think it detected as moving in reverse direction. The race course had something like 5-6 miles of out and back section and this problem persisted until I was through that section.

I suspect that both issues are related because they happened at the same time and stopped happening together.
