Swim interval going haywire?

I’ve used my suunto race for pool swimming recently and occasionally it’s adding something random like 596 hours to an interval. Is anyone else getting this and, if so, I’m assuming this is a bug?

This has been reported here but AFAIK there isn’t a solution yet.
