Today a vertical line of hot pixels appeared on the right side center of the watch, near the 3:00 crown position. The line is maximum brightness and constantly there regardless of mode. It goes away for an hour or two then returns, apparently randomly.

This appears to be a pending screen failure. I bought this watch new in June 2024. Should I start a warranty replacement claim? If so, how?

@MRC01 unfortunately the only way I know of is to chat with a representative

I got an RMA from the Suunto site and mailed the watch to them. The hot pixel line is intermittent, so I hope they don’t send it right back to me saying they couldn’t reproduce the problem. We’ll see…

@MRC01 your evidence seems pretty robust. Nice that they got that RMA to you quickly to take care of it!

@stromdiddily My concern is the RMA process didn’t allow me to send the photos, so all I could say is that this hot pixel line appears but it’s intermittent, not always there. So they could turn it on, not see it, say “nothing to fix” and return the watch to me unrepaired.
I hope not, time will tell.

Correction: I just opened my RMA case in the browser and noticed it has links to upload files. I uploaded these photos, which I hope guides Suunto to replace or repair this rather than just bounce it back to me.

@Tami999 Yes I did. That didn’t fix it. Suunto replaced the watch under warranty. The new one has been fine so far… but only time will tell.
