Pairing Garmin HRM-Pro Plus with Suunto Race

Hi everyone,
I recently purchased the Garmin HRM-Pro Plus heart rate monitor and I’m trying to pair it with my Suunto Race watch. However, I’m having some trouble getting them to connect via Bluetooth or ANT+.
Has anyone successfully paired the Garmin HRM-Pro Plus with the Suunto Race? If so, could you please share the steps or any troubleshooting tips that worked for you?
I’ve tried following the usual pairing process, but so far no luck. Any advice would be greatly appreciated!

@Damian-Głowacki you need to use BLE, ANT+ is not supported by current Suunto watches.

@Damian-Głowacki This should work for BT. I have an HRM Pro that pairs no problem. ANT+ is not supported by Suunto (Owned by Garmin). Check Settings/Connectivity/PairedSensors. Is an HR belt paired? If so did you put on the HRM Pro+ and see if at exercise start screen that an HR belt is connected?

Hi there,
I was wondering if the belt, when paired with the Race, also transmits the extended data—like running efficiency—to the Suunto app. Can you tell me more about that?

@trotzendorff first of all those running metrics are only send over ANT+. But even if they would send it over BT as well, I doubt it would be implemented in Suunto firmware. Like the buffering only works with Suunto Smart Belt…
