Firmware 2.39.20 Bug: Watch Faces
-
Hello folks, my watch auto-updated to 2.39.20, which it should not have done because I had turned off automatic updates. How did I know? The face changed. I set the face, color and complications back to my preference. Then, 5 minutes later they had reverted back again.
This has never happened before with prior updates and it’s really annoying. How do I get them to stop reverting back every time I change them?

@MRC01 Immediately after setting the watch face, color & complications I powered off the watch, then powered it back up, and now my selections seem to be persistent.

@MRC01 I notice that the 24h heart rate monitor doesn’t work, after few hours it stops. Did you see that?
-
@Tonino-Arrotino The HR monitoring on mine hasn’t stopped, but it hasn’t yet been 24 hours. But the HR is so inaccurate it is unusable anyway.

@MRC01 same Problem Automatic update is turned off , but suunto violated this and forced the update - and my watchface changed and alarm turned off. the new Outdoor watchface with this lock looks ugly

@vinc14 Hi is this really the case that firmware updates can be enforced?
I generally run away from any tech that forces updates vs letting user decide - as this is great segway to planned obsolescence.
Is there a repository of previous firmwares?
Can you use the watch without app activation?
I am getting my Race Titanium tomorrow and would like to avoid jumping into the bad formware straight away.
