How to reduce my battery consumption?

I, as a general rule, do not wear the 9PP for daily use. For that I use a conventional watch. So the Suunto sleeps in the drawer until I put it on for any sporting activity. In these circumstances I have no special complaints about the battery life.

But when, for any situation, it has been with me in daily use, the consumption shoots up. Close to 1% per hour. Or what is the same: almost 20% per day.

I don’t know if it is what other users have defined as “battery drain issue”. The fact is that I have it configured without notifications, with HR tracking and with high brightness turn on (when raising the wrist, the high intensity backlight is activated).

I imagine and suspect that this raise/turn on will be the main cause, but even activating the DND mode (in which the screen does not turn on when turning the wrist) the consumption seems excessive to me. And if it goes back to the drawer, everything goes back to normal.

      Any ideas?

        My inital thoughts as well.
Could you try disabeling the raise to wake option, set backlight level to low and disable standby backlight? Just to see if this reduces the battery drain.
