Suunto 5 replacement battery cost and lack of support

I am a long time user of Suunto watches but am currently experiencing very poor support or follow up from Suunto in respect to the extremely high cost of a battery replacement on my 5.
Price is almost 60% of the watch cost!
When I try to contact support via chat,I am prematurely kicked off, then promised an email follow up which doesn’t happen. Any similar experiences or ideas to address? Thanks.
