Apologies in advance, I know this must be a repeated question, and repeated questions do tend to be annoying. I did do several forum searches. There were a LOT of search results, too many to look through.

I have an Ambit Peak 3.
My running ping is 1 second (and my running pace is very slow).
Distances are not accurate. For example:
      5Ks show as 3.25 miles
      Marathons show as 27.5 miles

Any suggestions on how to improve the distance accuracy?

@Joseph-Mate Did you configure the watch to show metric units instead of imperial?

        5 km = 3.12 miles…

@surfboomerang Hi, and thanks for the reply.

My watch is normally in imperial mode, due to my being in the USA.

The inaccuracy has been noticed for a while, but most recently weeks ago while during a marathon hike. My friend’s watch matched the “RaceJoy” app distance. My Ambit Peak showed 0.75 miles ahead of both his watch and the app, and this was at the half marathon point in the hike.

@Joseph-Mate Could be GPS reception issues then.

Did you reboot the watch already?

@surfboomerang I don’t think I rebooted my watch, unless it was done when I was having sync cable issues a year ago. How often do owners reboot their watches?

@Joseph-Mate practically never, but it can sometimes resolve weird behaviour.
If I remember correctly, the AGPS file is removed on reboot so if it contains invalid information it can be resolved by rebooting the watch.
