BUG / poor implementation: Zone 1 scaling

It appears that when exercising within Zone 1 that the caret/needle indicator doesn’t move above dead zero until the heart rate is about 10 bpm from the zone’s upper limit.
Also the same indicator only gets about half-way up the Zone 1 arc at the heart rate set for the Zone1–Zone2 transition.
These may be related to my “forcing” the upper and lower heart rate per the instructions 4.12.1 on pages 31,32 “Set default HR zones”.
Shouldn’t the indicator be scaled to make fuller use of the display arc?
