Suunto 9 Peak - locked in 'device being restored to safe mode'

For some reason my Suunto 9 Peak is basically looping in ‘device being restored to safe mode’. Tried a hard reset, tried letting battery flattening out, tried customer service (no help at all). I am out of ideas. Anyone on this community run into the same problem?

@JDTaylor what is happening when you press the right button in the 2 'o clock Position for 30 seconds?

@JDTaylor Has the battery completely run out? If not let the watch battery run completely out. Then charge and turn the watch back on. Hopefully the watch will restore to the prior firmware. If not, it needs to be sent in for service.
