      Hi everyone,

I hope someone here can help me with an issue I’m experiencing. Whenever I turn off my watch and then turn it back on, it loses information about sleep tracking, blood saturation, and even the date and time settings, along with other settings.

When I synchronize the watch with the app, all the settings are restored, but I don’t think this is how it should work. How can a watch lose the date and time settings just from being turned off? Also, what happens if my phone runs out of battery and I can’t sync the watch?

If any of you have this watch, could you try turning it off and then back on to see if you experience the same problem?

I have installed the latest update, I also try to hard reset the watch (nothing happened) same behavior

      Thank you!

@trubbio I think its same for everybody. In past Suunto watches there was no ‘turn off’ option so you would leave the watch to run out of bat. With introducing the turn off the watch completly turns off (no bckg time keeping only I guess). But if you do not want to loose the date you can always put the watch in low power mode and leave it down on its screen (not the OHR) and it should keep going very long. I.e.: My Vertical went from 80% to maybe 60% (I dont remember exactly) in 1 month.

@trubbio As far as I know this is by design. The watches are not intended to be turned off, this is a feature more for long term storage. I do not see the reasons to turn the watch off as the watch has very good battery life.

you should see such watches like small smart devices : turned off = turned off = no CPU is working to save battery for storage.
When turned on again, settings are kept, but changing data like time/date… are not.
if your phone is dead and no sync is possible, you still have the opportunity to set date/time manually in the very last chance.

              Hello everyone,

I understand what you’re saying, but in any case, if you use it intensively (as I do), it’s possible for the watch to turn off. As a Mountain Guide, I’m often in the mountains for consecutive days and I don’t always have the opportunity to keep my phone and watch charged. In my opinion, it’s absurd that information like the time and date is lost if the watch turns off for any reason. For example, I have another watch in the same range but from a different brand, and it absolutely does not have this kind of problem. If I turn it off, when I turn it back on, all the information is still there, including the date and time.

Additionally, I find it absurd that when asking customer service, “Why do I lose the date and time if I turn it off?” they don’t answer the question at first… and after asking the question 10 times, they tell you, “Send it in for service.” Do you think this is normal as well? Anyway, thank you all.

@trubbio Why not use either Ultra or Tour mode? The watch will last a very long time. I am planning a 170k fast pack for 4-5 days and I won’t charge,
