As I do after buying a new smartphone, as soon as I received my Suunto Race I looked for a TPU cover to avoid accidental scratches, especially during mountain activities. Actually, I didn’t find any, while it is full of them for old Suunto models. Despite of that, I discovered that the ones made for Suunto 7, which is similar for dimensions, can be easily adapted for the Race, one needs only to enlarge the holes for the buttons with small scissors or a cutter. I bought a set of two from kwmobile on Amazon, the result is decent (I will do a better job with the second cover, hopefully), here are some shots:

I think it’s a pity that Suunto doesn’t provide such kind of accessories …

I never thought about this… the watches are very robust I think… a cover like this doesn‘t look nice!

I understand why people do this, and each to their own, but Suunto make beautiful, robust watches - it’s a shame to hide it under cheap ill-fitting plastic. And any dings or scratches that do make their way on to the bezel only serve to tell stories of past adventures.

I agree, it isn’t that nice, but a scratch would be worse for sure 😉
However, the cover can be easily removed once no more needed.

During my summer vacations on the Alps, Dolomites mostly, it happened to me to scratch my old Suunto Vector several times, but been made of plastic I was able to restore it with some polish cream.

yes, my brand new Race is beautiful, that’s way I want to keep it safe, at least at the begin …
maybe I will be more brave in the next future 😁

I would say to defend @Stefano-M64 its a good thing to wear, maybe not daily, but like he said, especially during mountain activities or something when its easy to hit watch . I got Vertical titanum with one small scratch after 0,5 year, and my PP9 Pro (steel version) edges lost black paint after few days only.
